Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the stability of a hull by forming a concave along the outboard shell from the outboard shell rear end of the back surface of the hull of a twin-body ship to the position close to the center of the hull and constituting the concave getting narrower towards the rear end and allowing the the rear end of the hull to be lifted-up in navigation.
CONSTITUTION: Protruding stripes 2 and 2' are formed along the outboard shell of a twin-body ship from the outboard shell rear end on the back surface of the hulls 1 and 1' connected in lateral symmetry, to the position close to the center of the hull. The protruding stripes 2 and 2' are widest and highest at the starting point at the rear end and getting narrower gradually toward the center of the hull, along the outboard surface of the hull until they disappear. Concave 6 and 6' are getting narrower towards the rear end of the hull. Therefore, the water introduced into the concave 6 and 6' due to navigation has the increased water pressure towards the rear end of the hull, and a buoyancy is provided on the bottom surfaces 5 and 5' at the rear end of the hull.
