Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare the wide opening bottle with uniform wall thickness distribution by subjecting a thermoplastic resin material to the blow molding by a metal mold having a special parison holding member to an opening forming range of the bottle. CONSTITUTION:A heat molten thermoplastic resin material is extruded from an extrusion head to form the parison 3 and, after said parison is received in metal molds 4A, 4B, said parison is cut from the succeeding resin material and subjected to the final blow operation to prepare the wide opening bottle. In this case, prior to the above described cutting, possitive pressure is acted on a part of the parison 3 corresponding to the opening part forming range of the bottle and, at the same time, negative pressure is acted from a slit like opening 10 communicated with a negative pressure generating source and, further, said negative pressure is acted even after the aforementioned cutting. Because the holding of the parison can be carried out certainly during the above described cutting, build up inferiority resulting from the sagging of the parison is not generated.
