Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size elastic surface wave oscillator that has a high Q and a facilitated fine adjustment of frequency, by using both the metallic grating reflector and the groove grating reflector in combination. CONSTITUTION:The metallic cross-finger electrode 32 that excites the surface wave plus the metallic grating reflectors 33 and 34 that reflects the excited surface wave plus the groove grating reflectors 35 and 36 are provided on the piezoelectric substrate 31. The reflectors 33 and 34 are used for a fine adjustment of resonance frequency; while the reflectors 35 and 36 secure a high Q, respectively. Thus a high Q is secured with a smaller number of reflectors than the use of only the metal grating reflector by using both the metallic grating reflector and the groove grating reflector in combination. Furthermore a fine adjustment is facilitated for the frequency.
