Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate a lifting operation of a shift pedal by rendering a slope of a cam surface, on which rides a flower-shaped cam engaging with a stopper in the lifting motion of the shift pedal, gentler than the slope with which the stopper engages in the depressing motion of the shift pedal.
CONSTITUTION: A flower-shaped cam 22 is provided on its cam portion with 7 roots 221aW221g and 7 crests 222aW222g. The root 221a corresponds to the neutral position, and the roots 221bW221g correspond respctively to the positions of first speed W sixth speed. Also, larger crests 222cW222f formed asymmetrically among the crest 222 are formed with gentler slope cam surface 223cW223f on which a stopper roller 42 rides and rolls when a shift drum 20 rotates in the direction of acceleration and with steeper slope cam surfaces 224cW224f on which the stopper roller 42 rides and rolls when the shift drum rotates in the direction of deceleration.
