Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the shift in the read-in timing to the card by using the synchronizing signal obtained from delay, by detecting the phase difference between the time point of card insertion start and the synchronizing signal, and performing phase adjustment through the delay in the synchronizing signal by this phase difference.
CONSTITUTION: The synchronizing signal (c) is produced from the synchronizing signal generator 15 corresponding to the rotating speed of the feed roller 13 and the card detection signal (b) is detected with the card detector 12. Further, based on the clock signal (a) from the basic oscillator 1, the phase difference of the leading between the detection signal (b) and the synchronizing signal (c) is counted and stored by the counter 2. The synchronizing signal phase adjustment unit is constituted with the counter 2, electronic selector switch 3 operated with the detection signal (b), counter 4 counting the clock signal (a) through the input of the synchronizing signal (c), and the comparator 5 comparing the count value of the counters 2 and 4. This phase adjusting unit detects the phase difference between the detection signal (b) of the card 11 and the synchronizing signal (c), the synchronizing signal (c) is delayed by the phase difference, and the read-in timing signal (d) is output from the comparator 5.
