Abstract
PURPOSE:To mass-produce connector plugs and to improve the precision by arranging optical fibers and forming bodies for reference hole formation in parallel over two symmetric forming spaces. CONSTITUTION:Over forming spaces 5A and 5B of forming devices 4A and 4B, multicore optical fibers 11-16 anf forming bodies 6 and 6' are arranged in parallel. Between the counter parts of devices 4A and 4B, holding member 7 is interposed and the setting states and parallel states of the optical fibers and forming bodies are held. Then, resin is injected into forming spaces 5A and 5B to form a plug for a connector. Thus forming plugs 11A and 11B are taken out of devices 4A and 4B and plugs 11A and 11B are separated mutually along cutting line X-X and have the butt flanks worked smoothly. Thus, connector plugs are mass-produced and the plug precision is improved.
