Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a superfine yarn in a compact apparatus at a low cost, by causing the super drawing of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) yarn before friction resistance materials provided between feed rollers and draw rollers to draw the PET yarn.
CONSTITUTION: An undrawn yarn 1 consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers is subjected to the super drawing at a suitable ratio corresponding to the needs, preferably about 1.5W4 in general, at a high temperature and under a low tension while being vibrated with the twisting and ballooning between feed rollers 2 and the first hot plate 3, a pneumatic false twisting nozzle 4 and friction resistance materials 5, and then drawn with the second hot plate 6 between the friction resistance materials 5 and draw rollers 7 and wound up by a winding roller 8 to give the aimed superfine yarn.
EFFECT: A superfine yarn can be obtained industrially by utilizing the super drawing.
