Abstract

PURPOSE: To establish simple and safe rising and lying motion of a hinged work tower, erected on a trolley truck which is movable on a deck in the direction along a line from stem to stern, by marking arrangements so that the work tower may rise and lie in response to a movement of the trolley truck.
CONSTITUTION: Through putting hydraulic cylinders 8 in spanwormlike operation by turns, a trolley truck 7 is moved in the direction of an arrow and induces a work tower 1 to turn counterclockwise around a pin 9 as well as to lean over a boom rest 5, while the lower end of the work tower 1 moves in the direction of a stem with movement of the trolley truck 7 until the tower 1 shifts from a standing posture to a leaning attitude. Upon shifting to the leaning attitude, the work tower 1 is fastened tightly to the boom rest 5. Further, the boom rest 5 is provided with a roller and a shoe guide to smoothly slide a aft leg supporting member 1' of the work tower 1.
