Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish an easy accommodation for the variation in the forms of nitrogen compound in the waste water containing nitrogen by carrying out nitrification and denitrification treatments continuously on the said waste water which is introduced into the same vessel, in which an aerobic and an anaerobic fluidizing beds coexist. CONSTITUTION:The first process which performs the nitrification treatment on the waste water containing nitrogen by passing it through an aerobic fluidized bed 12 and the second process which follows the first process to perform denitrification treatment on the nitrificated water by passing it through an anaerobic fluidized bed 14, are to be carried out by a continuous fluidized bed installed in the same vessel, and further, one part 3 of denitrificated water is circulated to mix with the original said waste water 2, the mixed waste water is introduced into the first process. And also a dissolved oxygen meter is installed on an intermediate fluidized bed 13 to check the dissolved oxygen concentration in the nitrificated water from the first process so that the dissolved oxygen quantity in the waste water containing nitrogen to be introduced into the first process is adjusted according to the checked value.
