Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to extend the memory efficiently, by providing and selecting the memory access mode which accesses the storage area of the microprogram μPG and the memory access mode to fetch the job program.
CONSTITUTION: In the information processor of μPG control system, the memory unit 11 is separated into 8 sets of segments SEGOWSEG7, and the area storing μPG is assigned to SEG0 and other SEG's are opened to the job programs. The management PG in common to each job is stored in SEG1, and the selection of the memory access mode to fetch the management PG of SEG1 and the job PG in other SEG's and the memory access mode to the combination of the job PG of other SEG's and μPG of SEG0 is determined with the operation mode selection register 25 set from CPU12. The state of the register 25 and the most significant bit 27 of the address bus 13 is inputted to the segment designation circuit 26, which designates one of SEG's. Thus, the extension of memory can efficiently be made.
