Abstract

PURPOSE: A repellent effective against lipidopteron, having no toxicity, chemical stability, and durability, obtained by adding a substituted phenyl-N-methylcarbamate as a repellent substance to a sublimate composition consisting of adamantane and cyclodecane.
CONSTITUTION: A repellent comprising (A) a sublimate composition consisting of (a) adamantane and (b) cyclododecane and (B) a substituted phenyl-N-methylcarbamate shown by the formula (R is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, or halogen) as a repellent substance. 2-Secondary buthylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate, 3,4-xylyl-N- methylcarbamate, etc. may be cited as the repellent. An amount of adamantane in the sublimate composition is 5W90wt%, preferably 10W50wt%. An amount of the repellent substance is 0.5W100 parts by wt., preferably 1W50 parts by wt. based on 100 parts by wt. of the sublimate composition.
