Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the abrupt drop of voltage in the early period of discharge by dissolving lithium perchlorate in a mixed solvent composed of 1,2-dimethoxyethane and propylene carbonate in a specific mixing ratio.
CONSTITUTION: For nonaqueous electrolyte cell using MnO2 as a positively active material and a light metal as a negative plate, the electrolyte is used which is prepared by dissolving lithium perchlorate in a 1:1.5∼2.5(by volume) mixture of 1,2- dimethoxyethane and propylene carbonate. Thus, it is possible to make discharge performance at low temperatures better without lowering the performance at ordinary temperature.
