Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the captioned measurement and achieve the stabilization of blowing by loading the temperature measuring probe comprising burying plural temparature measuring points in its vertical direction in refractories into the furnace from the furnace port in the range reaching right above the steel bath and detecting the temperature distributions in the height direction in the in-furnace space. CONSTITUTION:The temperature-measuring probe of the refractory 2 construction comprising burying temperature-measuring PR thermocouples 3 alternately zigzag on the right and left at multiple points is mounted in the end of a converter sub-lance body which is then perpendicularly loaded into the furnace and is reached to right above the steel bath. This is loaded into the furnace in such a manner that the temperature-measuring points 3 disposed alternately on the right and left assume the posture of sandwiching the radial direction of the converter. In this way, the temperatures of the respective thermocouples 3 are displayed on an ITV and the temperature distributions in the height directions are monitored. From these, the height of flag-forming may be readily obtained.
