Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an internal combustion engine capable of reducing lower loss by reciprocating a plurality of pistons in a circular cylinder block, introducing high- pressure gas thus produced into cylinders formed in a rotatable member, and causing rotation of said rotatable member by the aid of resilient spring means. CONSTITUTION:When gears 5, 6 are turned with rotation of shaft 2 and pistons 8 are reciprocated in respective cylinders 18 formed in a circular cylinder block 7, gas compressed and combusted in cylinders 18 is discharged into rotary cylinders 9 which are formed in rotatable member 17 with inclination of a porper angle. With such an arrangement, when pressure is acted to pistons 10 in respective cylinders 9, it is transmitted to springs 16 via power transmitting means 11-15, whereby member 17 is caused to turn by the reaction force of springs 16 so that driving power can be obtained.
