Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate multi-frequency circular polarized waves of turning equal or opposite to one another by providing a connection hole on the waveguide wall of each main waveguide in multi-stage connection of main waveguides different in cut-off frequency and supplying a linear polarized wave with a square waveguide from this connection hole. CONSTITUTION:Round waveguides 11 and 12, which are connected to each other in multiple stages, different in cut-off frequency are so constituted that they can transmit two orthogonal linear polarized waves simultaneously. When linear polarized wave 41 of frequency f1 is excited from round waveguide 11, this wave becomes circular polarized waves 61 and 71 of turning opposite to each other in respect to the horizontal direction of connection hole 21 and is propagated. If round waveguide 12 is cut off for frequency f1, circular polarized wave 61 is reflected by cut-off face 51 and becomes circular polarized wave 81 of turning opposite to circular polarized wave 61 and is propagated again. If the position of cut-off face 51 is selected properly, circular polarized waves 81 and 71 can have the same phase because circular polarized waves 81 and 71 have the same turning, and as a result, circular polarized wave output 91 can be obtained.
