Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize the period when the entire system is in a dump state and also to perform an analytic process, by allowing a service processor constituting the system, when in trouble itself, to dump internal status information by itself at a high speed.
CONSTITUTION: Processing system 1 consists of processors 2-0 to 2-3 and memory unit 3, and those processors are connected to internal information bus 4. By using the service processor link bus, system 1 is connected to service processor which possesses internally control memory 6, microprocessor 7 and internal bus 8, and floppy disc unit 10 is connected to processor 5. In memory 6, a dump processing program is stored. In the system constituted in this way, when service processor 5 itself gets out of order, internal status information is dumped at a high speed by floppy disc unit 10, thereby minimizing the period when the entire system breaks down.
