Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the adhesive power between a metal leaf treated for selective absorption and an inner glass tube, by fixing the leaf on the tube with a heat- resisting inorganic bonding agent.
CONSTITUTION: The leaf 7 of metal such as copper or aluminium, whose surface is treated for selective absorption and which has a thickness of about 100 μm, is bonded to the outside of the inner glass tube 2 by the heat-resisting inorganic bonding agent 8. After the metal leaf 7 is cut off to a prescribed length, the bonding agent 8 is coated on one side of the metal leaf 7 and the leaf is wound on the outside of the inner glass tube 2. These members are then heated at a temperature of about 100°C to evaporate a binder to firmly bond the metal leaf to the inner glass tube 2.
