Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the spherical lens optical system which is capable of volume production, is high in accuracy and is easy in optical axis alignment by enclosing the spherical body composed of optical materials with the circular enclosures composed of optical materials thereby contstituting the optical system.
CONSTITUTION: This is made to the spherical lens optical system comprising enclosing a spherical body 10 composed of optical materials such as glass, rutile, ruby, etc. with circular cylindrical enclosures 11, 12 composed of optical materials such as glass, acrylics, etc. Changing the diamter of the spherical body 10 and the relative refractive indices of the spherical body 10 and the relative refractive indices of the spherical body 10 and enclosures 11, 12 enables exit light of θ=θ', exit light of parallel luminous fluxes and exit light of θ<θ' to be obtained, thus the spherical lens optical system which permits volume production, is high in accuracy and is easy in optical axis alignment may be obtained.
