Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to prevent backfiring to a fuel supplying portion in a burner and to supply mixed gas uniformly.
CONSTITUTION: A burner is constituted with a burner head 6 and a burner cap 1 being put on the burner head 6, while a rectifying space 7 for supplying gas mixture to flame ports 3 is formed between innner walls of the burner cap 1 and a burner frame 5. In such a burner, a perforated plate 8 consisting of a punching plate having many small holes 9 and so on is mounted in a mixing chamber 14 formed within the inner space of the burner frame 5 by a squeezing and rectifying plate 11, thus, the space in the chamber 14 is divided into a mixed gas supplying space 10, formed between the bottom surface of the burner cap 1 and the perforated plate 8, and a mixing chamber 13 below the perforated plate 8. Here, the diameters of the small holes 9 of the perforated plate 8 are determined to be smaller than a distance in which flame can be eliminated, and in case vaporized light oil is used, they are determined to be less than 0.8% of the above-described distance while in case of town gas is used, they are determined to be less than 1.0% of the above-described distance; further, the total area of the small holes 9 is designed to be greater than that of the flame ports 3, and thereby, prevention of backfiring may be planned.
