Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an operator to exactly confirm a state capable of copying and to shorten the required time for copying, by providing an indicator for showing a state capable of copying or not, a detector for showing that an original platen is located at a start position or not, and the like to indicate the capability of copying.
CONSTITUTION: When copying paper is absent, an indicating lamp "copying paper absent" is turned on, and kept on till replenishment of the paper is complited, and the replenishment is judged by detecting that a cassette switch is once turned off, and then turned on. The lamp "copying paper absent" is turned off by reloading the cassette, and an indicating lamp "copying OK" in turned on. This lamp "copying OK" is kept off from switching on of power supply to the time of copying OK, then the lamp is turned on, and upon depressing a copying button, the lamp is turned off. When an original platen switch colses and copying becomes OK, the lamp is turned on. This system permits the operator to exactly confirm capability of copying by turning on and off of the lamp "copying OK".
