Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent color stain due to light on the white ground, by adding as a color stain preventor a specified 2-phenylbenzotriazole compound to a laver containing a 3-anilino-5-pyrazolone type magenta coupler or to a layer adjecent to this layer. CONSTITUTION:A 2-phenyltriazole compound of formula I (R is optionally substituted, from now on abbreviated to os alkyl, os sryl, os acyl, os alkylsulfonyl, N substituted sulfamoyl or such carbamoyl, os oxalyl, os oxamoyl, or the like; R1-R5 are H, halogen, os alkyl, sulfo, carboxy, a salt of them; and R4 and R5 may form a 5- or 6-membered ring) is added to a layer containing a magenta coupler of formula II (R is R'CONH, R'SO2NH, formula III, or the like and R' is H, 1-35C alkyl or the like) or to a layer adjacent to this layer. This prevents fading of a magenta dye or yellow discoloration of the white ground.
