Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the operationability and recording accuracy and to obtain the signal recording disc low in the cost, by providing the specific energy beam shield layer between the transparent board of plastic and the metal thin film layer recorded with energy beam. CONSTITUTION:On the transparent plastic board 1 the surface of which is smoothed the same accuracy as optical glass, the energy beam shield layer 2 is formed with evaporation method by transparent inorganic material in which the light transmission rate and refractive index of SiO2 is approximately equal to that of the board 1. On the layer 2, the metal(Bi, Cr etc.) thin film layer 3 is formed with evaporation. The bit train 4 depending on the signal of recorded information is formed with the high energy beam such as Ar laser at the layer 3. The reproduction of recording is made with emission of low power energy beam from the side of the board 1 since the layer 2 is transparent. Thus, the accuracy of recording and reproduction is increased and the cost is low since the board is made of plastic. Further, the protective layer 5 is provided with the same material as the board 1 to prevent the flaw and dirt on the recording bit and noise.
