Abstract
PURPOSE: To locate the position of a moving body from both the absolute position of the moving body, which is detected at a preset spacing, and the relative position, which is detected at a smaller spacing than the desired spacing by resetting a calculator at each change of the running address of the desired spacing.
CONSTITUTION: If a moving body runs so that its absolute position is detected at each change of the running address, e.g., each 1 meter by absolute position detectors 1 and 2, the signals are fed to display devices 3 and 4 and to a calculator 6 so that the relative position is reset at a zero level. If, on the other hand, the relative position is detected each 1cm by a relative position detector 5, the output signals are fed to the calculator 6 so that the relative position using the change of the absolute position as the standard is calculated and displayed in display devices 7 and 8. As a result, in view of the display devices 4 and 8, it is possible to instantly know the accurate position of the moving body.
