Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title agricultural pesticide containing a large amount of sulfur in sulfide-form, liquid at room temperature, and easily soluble in water for use, by adding a specific amount of polythylene glycol to the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: A concentrated lime sulfur mixture containing ≥28% of sulfide- form sulfur, and from 100/M to 1000/(M+5)wt% of polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight (M) of 190W2100. The addition of the polyethylene glycol gives a mixture which is liquid at room temperature even at a high sulfide-form sulfur content, almost free from deposition even at a low temperature, and easily soluble in water.
