Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain airtightness of a disc by making it possible to close automatically a cover again at the time of loading or rejecting a cassette, by providing a lock part to the cover of the pickup insertion window of the cassette containing the disc. CONSTITUTION:In cassette 1, rotatable recording disc 2 is installed and window 5 with cover 4 for pickup insertion is provided. This cover 4 is slidable and lock part 6 with cover 4 open and lock part 6' with it close are both provided. Once cassette 1 like this is inserted into a player for loading, the tip of open cover element 8 is locked by lock part 6 to open cover 4. To extract the cassette, the tip of close cover element 9 is locked by lock part 6' to close cover 4. In this way, the window is open only in regeneration and close in other operations, so that the dust, fingerprints can be prevented from sticking to the disc surface completely.
