Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the frequency modulation as well as to stabilize the device by limiting the change of the load impedance of the oscillation source only to the resistance component through adjustment of the phase shifter.
CONSTITUTION: For instance, phase shifter 4 is attached to oscillation output terminal 3 of microwave oscillation source 1 consisting of the Gunn diode mounted within the cavity resonator. Then PIN diode 5 functioning as the amplitude modulator is connected to the output side of phase shifter 4. For phase shifter 4, the connection phase to the amplitude modulator is adjusted so that the impedance change of amplitude modulator 5 may be limited only to the resistance component when viewed from source 1.
