Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high performance DC motor of high output at high response by using carbon fiber at conductors of an electromagnetic coil in the motor to thereby form a low inertial armature having good temperature characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: Carbon fiber is employed for conductors forming the armature circuit of the armature 3 and magnetic field circuit of a DC motor. The carbon fiber conductor has low specific weight, low armature intertia, low thermal deformation and can reduce the variation of the diameter of the armature. It additionally exhibits low temperature change of the resistance, low variations of circuit constants to thus provide high performance DC motor with high controllability.
