Abstract
PURPOSE:To omit the pulse by providing two units of the solenoid to the magnetic memory device to secure the function of the pulse motor as well as the bail function, thus simplifying the constitution and then reducing the cost. CONSTITUTION:With actuation of solenoid 1, ratchet 18 turns in the direction of arrow B via catch 7 and turns in the direction of arrow A with actuation of solenoid 2 respectively. Also action lever 11 shifts according to the action of solenoids 1 and 2. According to the shift of lever 11, bail 19 moves to fix the magnetic medium. Thus a contact is secured between the magnetic head and the magnetic medium to perform the reading and writing. In such constitution, the device turns toward arrow A with actuation of solenoid 2, and accordingly spiral cam 187 of ratchet 18 is driven. While cam 187 turns to the opposite direction with actuation of solenoid 1. Thus the magnetic head can be shifted laterally according to rotations of cam 187. At the same time bail 19 can also be driven.
