Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the workability of a low temperature double-shell tank by suspending down an elastic blanket provided with a weight at end wound in advance in rolled state between the inner and outer tank side walls while rewinding in a roof construction. CONSTITUTION:When an elastic blanket 7 is executed, it is performed by the steps of winding in advance the blanket 7 in rolled state with a core rod 12 as a winding end, placing the rolled blanket 7 on a truck 19 running on the outer roof 5 by a crane 20, suspending down the blanekt 7 between the side walls of the inner and the outer tanks 2 and 3 while rewinding it through an elastic blanket hole 21 perforated at the outer roof 5, and finally engaging the hook at the end with the blanket 7. Since an antifriction sheet such as aluminum foil or the like is disposed at the boundary between the blanket 7 and pearlite powder 6, it can reduce the frictional force to the blanket 7 due to the percipitation of the sheet to thereby eliminate an apprehension of fracture.
