Abstract

PURPOSE:To charge the billet, possessing a large section like as the continuously cast billet, into the rolling pass without processing by the blooming pass, by forming the steel bar loop into single or more multiplex rings and also into single or multiple stages, at a suitable position in the middle of the steel bar rolling line or after the rolling step. CONSTITUTION:The continuously cast billet is passed the refining step and is charged into the heating furnace 1 to heat the billet up to the specified temperature; next, this heated billet is pulled out by the extractor 2 and is descaled 3; then, the billet is processed by the rough rolling line 4 and is rolled into the required sectional size. After that, the rough rolled billet is sent to arbitrary loop accoumulator 9 by the selector 8, and is accumulated into multiplex rings and besides into multiple stages if necessary. After completing the supply of the steel bar to an accumulator 9, the selector 8 works to supply and accumulate the steel bar into next accumulator 9. Thus the steel bar is successively accumulated in four, for example, accumulators 9a-9d; and if necessary, the steel bar held in the accumulator 9 is heated and warmed by the burner in order to prevent dropping of the rolling temperature.
