Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality printing by a method wherein an ink tank is connected with wires through an ink feed pipe consisting of a capillary tube member, and a constant amount of ink is fed stably. CONSTITUTION:Ink 10 in an ink tank 9 is fed to the side surfaces of wires 6 in a printing head 3 by the capillary action taking place in an ink feed pipe 7 which comprises fibrous material of a certain density or plural capillary tubes 8. The ink is then flowed toward the tip ends of wires 6 by the capillary action taking place in the minute gaps between the wires 6 and dot holes 11 of a wire guide 4, and is adhered to the tip ends of the wires 6. At the time of printing, the ink thus adhered to the tip ends of the wires 6 is carried by the wires 6, and contacted with printing paper 2 supported on a platen 1, thereby conducting the printing.
