Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic head for two channels with the excellent performance, by adhering the front core onto the 1st connecting surface of the connection core in such way that the lamination surface of the core may be vertical to the connecting surface and then adhering the back core to the 2nd connecting surface in the state under which the magnetic flux can pass easily.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic head is constituted by holding shielding plate 3 between upper and lower channel magnetic head cores 11 and 21 and then adhering plate via upper and lower front cores 12a, 12b, 22a and 22b each. Front cores 12a and 12b are adhered to the 1st connecting surface of the end part of connection cores 13a and 13b each with their lamination surfaces set vertically substantially and in order to secure the vertical change for the direction of the magnetic flux. On the other hand, back core 14 is adhered to the 2nd connecting surface of the side opposing to front cores 12a and 12b at the other end of connection cores 13a and 13b each with their lamination surfaces set vertically substantially and in order to secure the vertical change for the direction of the magnetic flux. As a result, the magnetic fluxes passing through cores 12a and 12b plus core 14 produce a step difference to become parallel to each other.
