Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable good development by developing the latent images on a carrier by using such an elastic member which has absorption and squeezing action of the developer and does not deform at the contact surface in the pressure contact. CONSTITUTION:A drum-form photoreceptor 6 is provided with a latent image forming means 8, developing device part 9, transfer means part 10 and cleaning means part 11. The developing-device part 9 below the photoreceptor 6 contains the developer 12 in its liquid tank 13 and is provided with the developing roller 14 and squeeze roller 15 dipped in the developer 12. The developing roller 14 has the elastic foam 17 composed of expanded polyurethane around its central roller 16 and has a wire net 18 encircling this in endless form. Since the sufficient developer is squeezed out and supplied to the photoreceptor 6 by the contact with the developing roller 14, the formation of good developed images is done.
