Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform solidification and stabilization of the sludge within the pit in a predetermined length of time, without fleeing of water from said sludge, as well as maintaining the initial status with uniformity, by a method wherein a water soluble macromolecule is added to the sludge having hardening property.
CONSTITUTION: A pit 2 is drilled in the ground by an earth auger, and after the pit is filled by the sludge 3, an H-beam 4 is installed inside thereof. Carboxymethylcellulose of approx. 0.4% of cement to be used is added to the cement slurry. By so doing, the amount of said slurry to be used is reduced to 1.1 times of the volume of the capacity of the entire pit, without the increment in the compressing strength of the solidifying body 3, resulting in the easy and smooth drawing out of the H-beam.
