Abstract
PURPOSE: To well mix plural brands of iron ores by stopping a blending stacker at both ends of a stack so that the thickness of each ore layer is made uniform when the ores are stacked in layers with the stacker.
CONSTITUTION: When six brands of ores AWF are stacked, a stacker is first run from SA to PA to stack ore A, and it is turned back at turn-back point PA. Ore B begins to be stacked at SB, and when the stacker reaches turn-back point PB, it is turned back to stack ore B. In case of ores C, D, E, F the stacker is similarly stopped at starting points SC, SD, SE, SF for the necessary time and stopped at turn-back points PC, PD, PE, PF for the necessary time, respectively to accomplish ideal nonfixed point stacking and ideal fixed point stacking. Since the ores are uniformly stacked even at ends of the stack, the vol. of an ununiformly mixed portion is reduced considerably, and the ores are mixed uniformly.
