Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease NOx contained in sintering exhaust gas efficiently, by adding, in charging compound raw material for sintering into pallets, quick lime of prescribed particle size on or into the ore spread on the floor.
CONSTITUTION: In charging compound raw material for sintering into a pallet, quick lime of particle size not larger than 10 mm is spread on, or mixed into, the ore on the floor so as to be used as a portion of floor-covering ore. This method makes it possible to lower efficiently the conversion ratio of N embraced in the coke layer to NOx so that NOx contained in the exhaust gas is decreased.
