Abstract

PURPOSE: To vary the capacity of the oil-pressure pump-motor by the method wherein a rotor, together with a rotary shaft, is rotated, and at the same time, it is made to slide in the axial direction, and the amount of eccentricity of a cam is varied gradually in the axial direction, and thereby the piston stroke is changed steplessly.
CONSTITUTION: Rotor 4 is fastened to rotary shaft 6, so that it can rotate together with the rotary shaft and at the same time that it can slide in the axial direction, via spline 24. The cam surface between lines C and E of cam ring 2 is formed so that its distance from the center of rotary shaft 6 becomes larger toward the right in the drawing. When high-pressur oil flows into oil chamber 21 or 22, switching valve 5 compresses spring 30, causes rotor 4, thrust bearing 15 and disk 29 to slide to the right, and changes the position of displacement of ball 11 with respect to the cam surface of cam ring 2, and thereby the stroke of piston 10 becomes large and the capacity of the oil-pressure pump-motor increases. Consequently, when the input pressure of the oil-pressure pump-motor is increased, the capacity increases and a large torque can be obtained, and when the input pressure is decreased, the capacity decreases and a high speed can be obtained.
