CONSTITUTION:The data terminal unit of the transmission side delivers the transmission data in the form the NRZ signal which synchronizes with the frequency of one to an optional integer of the carrier frequency. The polarity is converted through NRZI circuit 1 and at the center point of each bit to produce the NRZI signal, and the carrier is modulated with the output of the NRZI signal to be transmitted 2. On the other hand, receiving circuit 5 demodulates the received NRZI signal and then extracts the carrier signal to divide 7 it into one to an optical integer. Then the NRZI signal is converted into the NRZ signal through NRZ converting circuit 6, and at the same time the polarity converting point of the NRZI signal is delivered in the form of the synchronous signal.
