Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the phase synchronism of the receiving timing signal and thus increase the transmission efficiency, by transmitting the data of the NRZ signal after converting into the signal of the NRZI type in case the data is tansmitted serially via the communication circuit. CONSTITUTION:The data terminal unit of the transmission side delivers the transmission data in the form the NRZ signal which synchronizes with the frequency of one to an optional integer of the carrier frequency. The polarity is converted through NRZI circuit 1 and at the center point of each bit to produce the NRZI signal, and the carrier is modulated with the output of the NRZI signal to be transmitted 2. On the other hand, receiving circuit 5 demodulates the received NRZI signal and then extracts the carrier signal to divide 7 it into one to an optical integer. Then the NRZI signal is converted into the NRZ signal through NRZ converting circuit 6, and at the same time the polarity converting point of the NRZI signal is delivered in the form of the synchronous signal. Receiving the synchronous signal, bit synchronous circuit 8 has the phase synchronism with circuit 7. And the outputs of circuits 8 and 6 are supplied to the data terminal unit of the reception side, and the supplied NRZ signal is decoded with the output of the synchronous circuit. Thus the transmission efficiency can be increased.
