Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect entirely S/N by a digital circuit, by discriminating the detection output in a time position, where the code error is minimum, and a time position shifted from the time position above and by comparing discrimination results. CONSTITUTION:Detection signal (a) (oblique lines are jitter) input to terminal 301 is divided into two, and one is input to FF304 and is discriminated by rise of discrimination pulse (b) from terminal 305 to output signal (c). The other is delayed by 302 and becomes signal (d) delayed by time Td and is input to FF303 and is discriminated by rise of discrimination pulse (b) to output signal (e). When jitter exists in signal (d), the signal shown by the dotted line of signal (e) is gaken out. Outputs of two FFs are compared with each other by exclusive OR circuit 306 to output signal (f). Signal (f) becomes as shown by the solid line for no error, and becomes as shown by the dotted line for error. Since this circuit is constituted with digital circuits entirely, it can be made an IC.
