Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve high performance with simple constitution by letting the automatic feeding of the uninspected slide glass from its feed side cassette to an X-Y stage and the automatic containing of the inspected slide glass into its containing cassette be accomplished simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Guides 31, 32 of the guide device are provided between the feed side cassette 30 containing desired plural slide glasses and the containing side cassette 29 containing the inspected slide glasses. The uninspected slide glass is taken out from the feed side cassette 30 and at the same time the inspected slide glass on the guide device is fed into the containing side cassette 29 by the carrier 34 which slides laterally on said guides 31, 32. The slide glass thus taken out is attracted by a vacuum chuck are 2 and is inspected by a microscope by moving the X-Y stage to the specified positions. The slide glass having been inspected is dropped onto the guide device. By repetition of such operations, the inspection may be performed efficiently with the simple constitution.
