Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable easy wipe-out of a transferred pattern as needed by providing a colored layer composed of a hydrophilic and thermosoftening binder and a color- developed pH-indicator on the transfer paper used for transferring a pattern to variaous cloths.
CONSTITUTION: A coloring agent is made by mixing a pH-indicator such as thymol carboxylphthalein that is colorless near the neutrality, presents color in alkalinity and shows no dyeing property for cloths, a hydrophilic binder which is the resin that is easily softened at about 50W200°C and has the combination of carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, carboamido, ether etc. in its structure, alkaline material and other additives for giving printing aptitude and the like. A colored layer is formed by applying the above-mentioned coloring agent onto the support matter such as paper whose surface is processed to be nonabsorptive.
