Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect the thermal deformation, sterilization, and drying of a raw material rapidly and to obtain a high-quality feed and animal fats and oils, by grinding the waste of poultry and stock raising, followed by treating the prepared material with superheated steam so that it is dried under heating.
CONSTITUTION: The waste of poultry and stock raising (raw material) is ground by the granulator 1, e.g., a mincer. The powdered raw material is added to the heater 2 with a stirrer and the heater 2 is charged with the overheated steam 4. Consequently, the raw material is thermally deformed and sterilized, and the water contd. in the raw material is removed by the superheated steam. The raw material is then separated into the protein feed 8 and the fats and oils 9 by the deoiling device 3 to give their products respectively.
