Abstract
PURPOSE: The title composition having improved physical properties and adhesiveness to the hard organization of living bodies, comprising acrylic monomers as main components consisting of tetramethylolmethane triacrylate, etc. and tetramethylolmethane tetraacrylate, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A medical and dental composition comprising acrylic monomers as main components consisting of 30W100wt% (preferably 45W70wt%) of a compound shown by the formula I (R1 is H, methyl, ethyl, or propyl) and 0W70wt% (preferably 30W55wt%) of a compound shown by the formula II. Tetramethylolmethane tri(meth)acrylate may be cited as the compound shown by the formula I: tetramethylolmethane tetra(meth)acrylate, as the compound shown by the formula II. The resin composition may comprise not more than 30wt% of monomers polymerizable with the above-mentioned monomers besides them. The resin composition is used as medical and dental materials with a filler, e.g., BN, Si3N4, etc.
