Abstract

PURPOSE: To resuck an evaporated gas residual in a cylinder head cover in an engine by a method wherein the cylinder head cover and an air cleaner are connected through each other, and a control valve operated by startup, shutdown and temperature is provided in the through passage.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head cover 2 of an engine 1 and an air cleaner 3 are connected through a blow-by gas passage 5. An air/liquid separator 17 is provided on the cover 2 side, and a gas component only is allowed to reflow. A control valve 7 is arranged for the passage 5, which opens at startup of the engine 1 and closes at shutdown. Moreover the valve 7 also opens when the engine temperature reaches a given value or over, and a fuel vapor residual in the cover 2 together with blow-by gas is also resucked into the engine from the cleaner 3.
