Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize the regeneration of the intermediate gradation at the facsimile transmitter/receiver through a simple constitution by setting the threshold voltage of several different levels and then energizing the heat-sensitive head in correspondence to the signal level of the supplied picture.
CONSTITUTION: With supply of input picture signal 1 to comparator 8, the scale is compared between the level of picture signal 9 and threshold voltage V1∼ V3. Then digital signals A and B are delivered through output terminals 8a and 8b. Multiplexer 17 delivers the contents of register 15 to switching element 5 via 1st and 2nd shift registers 11 and 12 plus 1st and 2nd registers 15 and 16 when the output of one-shot 14 is "1", and delivers the contents of register 16 to element 5 when the output is "0" respectively. Accordingly, the conduction time of element 5 varies according to the contents of registers 15 and 16, and the volume of the current flowing to radiator 7 varies. Thus, the intermediate gradation can be regenerated.
