Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a modified material suited for various products, by hardening a molten substance in a magnetic field having therein magnetic lines of force.
CONSTITUTION: A modified material 1, having a composition oriented regularly by the function of magnetic lines of force, is obtained by placing a mold K in a magnetic field having therein magnetic lines of force oriented regularly in one direction, pouring a molten substance of metal, synthetic resin or the like into the mold K, and then hard ening the molten substance in mold K by way of natural cooling. It is preferable to roll the material 1 by means of rollers or the like. Further, it is possible through adjustment of the intensity of the magnetic field to modify material 1 to suit for manufacturing a specific product.
