Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide well-defined boundary line in resin coating by a method wherein air is continuously projected through small gap between container outer surface and annular type masking member and synthetic resin is coated by projection on the surface of container facing the projection side.
CONSTITUTION: Air with proper pressure is projected through gap 8 between outer peripheral surface of tube 1 such as aluminum and annular covering member 4. At the same time, synthetic resin material is projected from jet nozzle 9 that is vertically moving onto the shoulder and upper surface of tube 1 so that coating is performed. The projecting air through the gap 8 prevents molten resin from sagging through the gap 8. This further minimizes resin deposition of resin on the part of the masking member 4 near the tube shoulder. When resin is deposited, the gap 8 helps to prevent resin from adhering to tube 1 at next coating operation. Thus, well- defined boundary line A can be formed on coated layer 3.
