Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically correct the irregular reduction of a lapping machine by reversing the rotating direction of a carrier during lapping work around its own axis and uniformly weraing the machine. CONSTITUTION:Since surface plates 1a, 2a are irregularly worn when lapping work is continued in a lapping machine, the clutches 6, 7 of a spindle 8 are disengaged at certain stage and the clutches 12, 13 of a rotary shaft 11 are engaged. Then, the rotation of a chain gear 2d is transmitted to a chain gear 2e. Thus, chain gears 3e, 4e shift the rotating speeds of an internal gear 4a and a sun gear 3a through chain gear 3d, gear 3c, a chain gear 4d and gear 4c rotating reversely. Thus, the sun gear 3a is rotated at higher speed than the gear 4a. Thus, the carrier 5 is rotated counterclockwise around an external axis, but rotated around its own axis clockwise. Thus, the carrier 5 wears the portions of the surface plates 1a, 2a less worn to automatically correct the irregular wears of the surface plates.
