Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the thickening of a rule line by a method wherein ink is transfered on a surface of a blanket from letterpress blocks, water-soluble, ink repulsive material is applied on the blanket, dried and hardened, and repelling power is given.
CONSTITUTION: Ink 2 is transfered on a surface of a blanket 3 by means of letterpress blocks 1. Water-soluble, ink repulsive material, such as, emulsion type silicon, etc. is dissolved in water and uniformly applied on the whole surface of the blanket 3 by means of spray, etc. The ink repulsive material does not adhere to an ink transposition portion (a rule line portion) on the surface of the blanket and attaches only to a portion where ink is not transfered. The ink repulsive material on the surface of the blanket is naturally dried and hardened, and matter to be printed is printed.
