Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a propylene polymer for injection molding having excellent moldability, impact resistance and rigidity, by carrying out the polymerization in one step in the presence of a specific catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: Propylene of its mixture with ethylene and/or the other α-olefins is polymerized in one step in the presence of a Zuegler catalyst to give a propylene polymer for injection molding having ratio of the weight average molecular weight to the number average molecular weight, of ≥ 7, a melt flow index (MFI) of 0.1 W100 g/10 min at 230°C and a load of 2.16 kg, a melt viscosity η (poise) at 230°C and the shear rate of 1 × 103/sec expressed by the equation at 230°C, and a propylene content of ≥ 90 wt.%.
